Calling All Scampers!

Get ready for an unforgettable summer of fun, adventure, and skill-building! BTS Mountain Bike Summer Camp offers young riders ages 6-12 the chance to master essential MTB skills, experience adventure on two wheels, and make lasting friendships. Whether they're beginners or budding pros, campers will enjoy a safe and supportive environment led by experienced instructors who love the thrill of the trail. Packed with exciting rides, games, and challenges, this camp is the perfect way to boost confidence, stay active, and have a blast this summer.

Weeklong Camps of Mountain Biking Fun!

This summer we are offering 3 exciting, 1-week-long camps grouped by age to meet the needs of riders in two groups, riders who have just completed grades k-2 and those who just completed grades 2-5. Camp will be based at Spring lake Park (Upper Oak Knolls Parking area), where we can access trails in Howarth Park, Spring Lake Park, and Annadel State Park.

Camp Cost: $495 per Scamper per week

Blue Tailed Skinks is a 501c3 Non-Profit committed to making our programs accessible to all. Scholarships are available.

Week 1: June 9 - 13

Designed for the youngest campers grade k - 2, the structure of week 1 will involve shorter rides, more time for exploring/observing nature, and plenty of snack breaks. Riders in week 1 will need a trail-capable mountain bike with knobby tires, though they do not need to have experience riding on trails. Early drop off will begin at 8:30am at the Oak Knolls picnic area of Spring Lake park. Camp will run from 9am - 3pm.

Weeks 2/3: June 16 - 20 and June 23 - 27

Weeks 2 and 3 are designed for riders grade 2 - 5 and will be centered around skills plus longer adventure rides each day. Ride groups will be organized by ability level. Snack breaks/exploring our parks will still play a key role in the structure of our days. Riders in weeks 2 and 3 will need a trail-capable mountain bike with knobby tires. Early drop off will begin at 8:30am at the Oak Knolls picnic area of Spring Lake park. Camp will run from 9am - 3pm.

 For the safety and comfort of your child they are required to bring:

  • A proper fitting mountain bike 

  • Helmet

  • Gloves

  • Glasses

  • Backpack

  • Closed-toed shoes

  • A water bottle

  • A sack lunch to eat on the trail
